Year 3 Stone Age Outdoor Day

In the morning,  Year 3 were very excited to come to school dressed up, ready for a day of outdoor learning. The children rotated around a variety of activities including whittling their own harpoons from sticks, making a wooden henge, chopping fruit and creating their own shelters.

In the afternoon, everyone gathered around the campfire to stew the fruit they had chopped, listen to a story and sing a stone age song. All the children thought the stewed fruit was very tasty…some of them even had a second portion!
